Once Upon a Christmas | Once upon a Christmas, a brilliant star beamed across the night sky. Like a torch, it guided the way for three wise men, and perhaps for all of us.
What a wonderful thing it is to gaze up at winter's night sky. Will yet another bright star light our path? Are those God's Christmas lights up there between those bare tree branches? Do I hear sleigh bells or is that my imagination? The music here reflects the many joys and wonders of Christmas, from "Where Are You Christmas?" from Dr. Seuss' The Grinch Who Stole Christmas to "Breath of Heaven" - Mary's thoughts and prayers before the birth of Christ, to a lighthearted "Nutcracker Swing." What great musicians I had to work with! Thank you all. Here's hoping you all find the Christmas spirit, that makes those hectic times around the holidays seem all worthwile. |

All My Love | The most romantic album Sally has ever done, it is definitely music to fall in love by. The source? Basilio Bautista who is also a plastic surgeon. He sent her some tapes of his melodies. In them, Sally heard passion like never before. She learned that he wrote them for his wife as a wedding present. (Lucky Bride!) Sally agreed to arrange and perform them in her own style on a CD. What turned out is so romantic, so lush and beautiful, (with all her orchestrations), and such an emotional roller-coaster, it may just put a spell on anyone who hears it. Brand new in Nov. 2000, this "wedding present" will now be enjoyed by thousands in the U.S. and abroad. AVAILABLE ON CD ONLY. |

Straight from the Heart | When I was little and just starting piano, my teacher told me, "Play it like you mean it-make every note count." I quickly discovered the piano to be my favorite outlet. I began treating it like my teddy bear and pouring lots of love into it. It always gave me back everything and more. Then other people started feeling what I feltjust by listening to me play. The piano became more fun than an outlet-it communicated!
Many years of piano playing and sixteen albums later,I bring you Straight from the Heart, a collection of favorites from a handful of recordings, as well as three new tunes:"From this Moment," which was introduced to me at a friend's wedding, really touched me. I arranged it as a duet for piano and guitar and the romance just blossomed. Thank you Tim Ellis for your great guitar playing. Speaking of romance, when Andrea Bocelli's Romanza CD came out, I knew I had to give "A Time to Say Goodbye" and "The Prayer" a try. With the help of Billy Oskay on violin, "A Time to Say Goodbye" became soaring and orchestral. "The Prayer," originally a duet, is one of those tunes that comes along once in a while that just fits me like a glove. I arranged it for solo piano and it seems to play itself. It is my favorite of all. So when people say to me, "Boy, you sure do get into it when you play that piano!" my only response is, "Well it's Straight from the Heart." |

Pirouette | Roll over,
Beethoven! In fact, the whole gang can. Sally's here! Sally Harmon
has picked some of the most popular classical themes of all time
and given them a new attitude. Opening with "Pirouette," an elegant
waltz treatment of Bach's Minuet in G, with violin
and penny whistle, she then adds angelic voices to Bach's Prelude
in C in "Prelude for an Angel". After that, you're spun
into new directions with her jazzy, fun-filled version of Für
Elise. Then, onto a moon-lit beach with her "Girl from
Ipanema" style Clair de Lune "Only the Moon".
Vivaldi's "Spring " from The Four Seasons becomes "Spring Fling," a country dance full of witty surprises, and Beethoven's Ode to Joy turns gospel, with added sax, bass and drums, earning the title, "Jump for Joy." She closes by caressing you with "Sweet Dreams," her version of Brahms' Lullaby. If you're looking for something new, fresh, witty, and stunningly beautiful, give Pirouette a whirl. With a new level of polish and flair for Sally Harmon, this spin on the classics is sure to delight classical and non-classical listeners alike. |
